The Slash Beat is a jig developed for vertical fishing under the boat. Its elongated profile and the distribution of its weight towards the tail gives it a fast speed of descent and thus make it an ideal jig for deep-sea fishing. Nevertheless it is able to fish at low speed and is particularly suitable for slow jigging type animations.
